Vinted Balance UK: when you get paid and how to withdraw

By James, founder of Rackd · Updated 22 October 2026 · 5 min read

Quick answer

Activate Vinted Balance before your first sale. After you post and the order completes, the money moves from Pending to Available (usually within about 2 days). From Available you can withdraw to a UK bank account — that transfer usually takes a few business days, and Vinted may ask for an identity check.

What Vinted Balance is

Vinted Balance is the wallet where your sale earnings sit. You need it to get paid as a seller. You do not top it up yourself — it only holds money from completed sales. You can:

Activate it before your first sale

If you have never sold before, set up Vinted Balance in the app before (or as soon as) your first item sells. Without it, you cannot receive the payout when the order completes. Follow the prompts in Vinted — they may ask you to verify a phone number or use biometrics when you open the balance.

Pending vs Available

  1. Pending. The buyer has paid. The money is reserved but you cannot use or withdraw it yet.
  2. Delivered. The parcel arrives. The buyer usually has about 2 days to tap "Everything is OK" or raise an issue.
  3. Completed. The buyer confirms, or the window passes with no claim. The order is finished.
  4. Available. Within about 2 days of completion, the funds move to Available. Now you can withdraw or spend them on Vinted.

Pro seller orders follow a longer buyer window (often around 14 days). Most personal wardrobe sellers are not Pro.

When do I get paid?

You get paid when the order completes, not when it sells and not the moment it is delivered. Fast posting helps: send within the 5 business day shipping window, then wait for delivery and completion. Check Payment history in the app if you cannot see a sale you expected — it may already be Available, spent on a purchase, or on its way to your bank.

How to withdraw to a UK bank

  1. Open Vinted Balance and check that funds are Available.
  2. Choose withdraw / transfer to bank.
  3. Enter a UK account that can receive GBP (sort code and account number).
  4. Complete any identity check Vinted or their payment partner asks for.
  5. Wait for the transfer. It usually takes a few business days.

Keep your bank details accurate so payouts are not delayed.

What you get (and what you do not)

On a standard sale, the price you listed for the item is what you receive into Balance when the order completes. The buyer paid the Vinted fee and postage separately. You do not see those lines deducted from your item price.

Questions

Do I need Vinted Balance to sell?

Yes. Activate Vinted Balance before your first sale so you can receive the payment when the order completes.

When does Vinted pay sellers?

After the order is completed, the money usually moves from Pending to Available within about 2 days. An order completes when the buyer confirms, or automatically a couple of days after delivery if they do nothing.

How long do Vinted withdrawals take?

Withdrawals to a UK bank usually take a few business days, and Vinted shows the expected date. Vinted may ask for an identity check before the first withdrawal.

What is pending vs available balance on Vinted?

Pending is money from a sale that is not ready yet. Available is money you can spend on Vinted or withdraw to your bank.
